Small block Chevy Melling oil pump. This is a high volume oil pump / Standard Pressure. Applications are all small block Chevy's 1957-2006. 262, 305, 350 and 400. 100% tested at the factory. Uses 5/8" Pick Up tube Check for clearance and fitment. Wet sump style. Comes with Oil Pump Drive Shaft and lower pressure spring is included (not installed). This oil pump increases oil volume by 25 percent over the stock pumps. The shark tooth gears are a patented helical asymmetrical steel gear, these reduce pressure ripple (pulsing), reduce torque ripple (pulsing), improve distributor operation, improved shaft and gear wear and will improve the efficiency of the pump. All this come down to better oiling of your performance engine which protects the engine better than stock pumps and normal racing pumps. Quicker inlet vacuum equals faster primes and tighter gear tips provide reduced internal leakage.
